OLIVIA SPINELLI

Olivia Spinelli has worked in the fashion industry for over 25 years. After graduating in Fashion Design and Management from the Faculty of Arts at the University of Urbino, she began her career as a fashion designer, focusing on coordination and style for new young lines of major Italian fashion houses. She started at Dolce & Gabbana for the D & G line, coordinated the VERSUS women’s collection for Versace, contributed to the development of the G GIGLI men’s and women’s line for the European and Japanese markets for Romeo Gigli, and collaborated with Art Director Gianfranco Ferré for approximately four years, following the GF FERRE women’s wear line.

Since 2008, she has operated her own design office, developing fashion collections, analyzing trends, fabrics, prints, and colors, and providing expert advice to various companies such as HTC for leather accessories, LORENA ANTONIAZZI for knitwear collections, LEVI’S, I PINCO PALLINO, LA PERLA, and most recently, DIRK BIKKEMBERGS for kidswear collections.

Since 2008, she has also been responsible for coordinating the Fashion Design department at IED Moda Istituto Europeo di Design, teaching courses in Fashion Design and Research Final Projects.

From 2016 to 2024, she served as the Art Director for Fashion Shows and Events and as the Head of the IED MODA Fashion School, overseeing more than 1,200 students annually.

In 1999 she began her experience, alongside that of fashion designer, as a Theatrical Costume Designer collaborating with the Compagnia della Fortezza directed by Armando Punzo, Giorgio Barberio Corsetti, Motus and Kataklo Dance Company.

She lives in Milan, has two daughters, and loves contemporary art.
