Cristina Di Carlo is the CEO of CDC-Studio, an idea incubator for the research and development of sustainable solutions for the fashion and textile industry. It has developed and patented CŌĒO, a technology to regenerate unsold and/or defective fabrics and leathers. By using recycled plastic, CDC_STUDIO creates a new material with unique qualities. The new material is waterproof, windproof, durable, sustainable and Eucerplast certified. Thanks to CŌĒO, they can turn leftover stock into a resource, giving new life to unsold fabrics and leathers, reducing CO2 emissions and water use and giving a second life to regenerated polyethylene. The new fabric has endless applications in clothing, footwear, leather goods and interior design.
